Annual Community Grants Scheme 2009/10
Council is inviting community groups and non-profit organisations to submit proposals for financial assistance in the 2009/2010 period. Council is making available a total of approximately $39,800 to community groups under this program. The community grants aim to encourage the development of services that meet major community needs.

Community Development Support Expenditure Scheme
This scheme is a shared State Government - Club Industry program, funded by a 1.5% gaming machine tax rebate provided by the State Government to those registered clubs with gaming machine profits in excess of $1 million per annum. Licensed clubs in our community are supporting a range of community projects through this program and Ashfield Council is assisting them through the CDSE Committee to make better decisions about their allocations.
Last year, licensed clubs in the Ashfield municipality allocated funds of $200,000 to local non-profit, community groups for projects and services that support local disadvantaged communities.
Projects in the following categories may qualify for funding under this program:
- Community welfare and social services;
- Community development;
- Community health services; and
- Employment assistance activities.
