Ashfield Council is committed to providing a comprehensive waste and recycling service to our residents and businesses. It is important that we all work together to keep Ashfield a clean and livable place by reducing the amount of waste we generate. By recycling correctly and cutting down on the amount of garbage we send to landfill we can all help to ensure a sustainable future for our community.
Bin Lid ChangeAshfield residents' garbage bin lids will soon be changing. Starting on 1 February 2010 residents' green/grey garbage bin lids will be changed to red. The lids are being changed to red in order to conform to State Government requirements. Lids will be changed on your regular garbage service day and residents are asked to assist the process by leaving your bins out until 6pm after they have been emptied. This process will take the whole month of February. If your lid has not been changed by 1 March 2010 please call Council on 9716 1800.
