Noxious Weeds

Many plants are declared noxious weeds because they can cause health problems to humans and animals.

Noxious weeds must be controlled or removed by the occupiers/owner of the property in accordance with the Noxious Weeds Act 1993. Failure to control noxious weeds may result in a fine.

Many people do not know that they have noxious weeds in their garden. To help you identify weeds Council has prepared a list of plants that have been declared to be noxious weeds.
